Snaking thru Central, you will find escalated walk ways that allow for easier access than walking thru the slopes of Central. Of course, there is a plus when you are in a hurry and would not want to be bothered by the views on street level. The escalators do offer a different vantage point to observe the bustle of Hong Kong Central.
At one section of the elevated walkway, tap your Octopus card for some HKD2 off on your next MTR ride.
A very common location for filming, a stretch of escalators would see you ride up the slopes and pass many cafes and restaurants.
It was another hot day in Hong Kong and I needed a drink. There was a Starbucks and upon entering, I found myself walking up a flight of steep stairs to the upper level. Apparently, I had entered thru the back door a street back.
