This was a brief stop coming back from Bedegul. The roads are not too kind to us and if you wanted to go further in, you will have to pay. Jatiluwih was nominated for designation as a UNESCO World Heritage site. When you arrive, you will see contours upon contours of land which uses the nature’s force : gravity for irrigation. Jati means ‘really’ and luwih means ‘good’. The views here is really ‘jati luwih’. The roads leading to Jatiluwih are narrow and wind along the side of the hills. You will need a very good and experienced driver. This location is fairly off the normal tourist track and guesthouses are available if you decide to stay here for a day or two.
It may be worth a visit into Jatiluwih if you have the time and energy. I had neither and we left after a quick shoot. Next time…maybe.
