Tianxiang is a large river terrace recreational area in Taroko National Park. Dasha River and Taci Jili River converge at Tianxiang to become Liwu River. Most tours will actually reach this spot before turning back to head down back to Hualien.
This bridge named Pudu bridge was reconstructed in 2003 to provide a safer access. As you walk to the end of this bridge, you will reach a beautiful red arch and a tall White Robed Guanyin Statue.
There is a 7-story high pagoda named Tian Feng Pagoda. You may go up the pagoda to get a better view.
The Xiangde Temple, and, in 1968, Daxiong Baodian temple, have been built on the terrace and have become popular spots for visitors and worshipers.

On the north-western side is the Tianxiang Youth Activity Center (Youth Hostel) and a Catholic Church is next to it.
There are some shops and restaurants in Tianxiang. The prices are pretty much the same as there is not much competition and being a tourist hot spot, the prices are fixed.
This is hot and a welcome taste. Sausage wrapped in a larger sausage which contains some rice and pickled vegetables. Known as Big Sausage Wraps Small Sausage. For NTD60 only, this is a nice warm snack.
